A small school that thinks big

School ethos

In our school we are committed to providing appropriate opportunities for the development of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural values through both the ethos and the curriculum.  This will be undertaken in partnership with parents/carers and will take account of the individual needs of pupils and the views of parents/carers.

School Vision:

Children, staff, parents and the wider community will work actively in partnership to inspire a love of life-long learning. We will learn new skills and develop a passion for learning, allowing the children to reach their full potential. We will feel safe and secure, be open-minded and eager to succeed in an outdoor and indoor learning environment.

Our Values:

Respect – We aim to respect and appreciate each other’s opinions and differences.

Responsibility – We aim to take responsibility for the results of what we do and don’t do and think about how our actions affect others.

Inclusiveness – We aim to include everyone in our play by treating them fairly and equally.

Community – Our aim to work together with other Schools, parents, and the community to promote the health, well-being, and learning of all children.

Challenge – We aim to challenge learning by encouraging children to investigate uncertainties to allow for a deeper understanding.  This allows the children to work and discuss at a greater depth.

Our school welcomes and encourages diversity and individuality, while emphasizing our common commitment to moral values such as honesty, respect for others, compassion and justice.  Fundamental principles of our school are that all who are involved in the life of our school have the right to be respected as individuals and carry the responsibility to act in a considerate and respectful manner towards others.  We are firmly committed to the elimination of any form of discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, gender or disability.
